We loved our walk around the Riverfront in Savannah, GA. A beautiful 1.6 mile walk at sunrise. The waving girl statue is a tribute to Florence Martus. From 1887 to 1931, she greeted ships by waving a cloth at approaching ships. She was looking for her long lost lover.
