Bardstown is known as the “most beautiful small town in America” and is Kentucky’s second-oldest city.

There are several National Historic buildings, many located in the downtown district.  We were able to walk and bike all around town.

Bardstown was our home base for a few days while on the Bourbon Trail.  Some of the attractions include the many distilleries, wineries, the Civil War Museum, and carriage rides in town.  We stayed at the brand new Fairfield Inn/Marriott, which we would highly recommend as the place is spotless and the staff were so friendly.

Here are some recommendations: Drinks at Old Talbott Tavern. Pizza at Cafe Primo. Burgers at Bardstown Burger. Icecream at Grandma’s Homemade Icecream.
