We had the opportunity to take the ferry from Lewes, Delaware over to Cape May, New Jersey. We had originally planned to walk onto the ferry with our bikes, but the weather did not cooperate. We drove the van onto the ferry. The total round trip cost for us and the van was $91.00. The ferry ride is approximately 90 minutes. We cannot say enough great things about the experience. The terminal area on both sides is spotless, clean and a place to hang out and get a bite to eat. Every single person we came in contact with was so friendly, from the security/police officers, marine crew, servers and booth operators. Some folks would say this is just a mode of transportation, for us it was an experience!
