Our Florida home is only 45 minutes from the St. Pete Pier and we have never visited. Oh my, this place is stunning. We had a beautiful sunrise walk. We will definitely go back to the St. Pete area for another sunrise, sunset and maybe even a night or weekend. We did arrive early and parked right by the pier. $8.00 to park for 4 hours. There were several security officers and grounds crew in the area and they were extremely helpful and courteous. If you are in Southwest Florida, this is a must place to visit.
