On December 31, 2024, we flew from CLE to TUS. We checked into the Residence Inn by the airport.
On New Year’s Eve, we went to Gates Pass Scenic Outlook to watch the sunset. It is important to get there about 90 minutes before sunset as this is a very busy spot.
On January 1, 2025, we hiked Wasson Peak via Kings Canyon, Hugh Norris and Gould Mine. The hike was difficult but awesome. After the hike, we ordered a pizza from No Anchovies and highly recommend.
On January 2, 2025, we visited Saguaro National Park Rincon Mountain Visitor Center and drove the Cactus Loop Drive. This side of the park is located East, in the Rincon Mountain Area.
We also visited the San Xavier del Bac Mission Catholic Church and this would be a must do in Tucson.
The Sonoran Hot Dog is popular in Arizona and Tony enjoyed his visit to Dany Hot Dogs.
On January 3, 2025, we visited the Saguaro National Park Red Hills Visitor Center and drove the Bajada Loop. This side of the park is located West, in the Tucson Mountain District.
We finished our visit at El Charro, @elcharro.cafe, serving Mexican Food since 1922 and had a Chimichanga, invented in Tucson.
